The DLC is a fully State Owned Institute functioning under the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government (Self Retaining Institution). The IAAC is an international science competition that enables students from all countries to prove their skills and to unleash their creativity in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics. The CEO of the CISS is served as the official IAAC ambassador for Sri Lanka.

CERN's main area of research is particle physics. Because of this, the laboratory operated by CERN is often referred to as the European Laboratory for Particle Physics. Beamline for Schools (BL4S) is a physics competition for high school students from all around the world organised at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics and the CEO of the CISS is served as the official National Contact of this program for Sri Lanka

NASA is a U.S. government agency that is responsible for science and technology related to air and space. NASA STEM Gateway is a resource to help educators find opportunities for their classroom to broaden students experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The CEO of the CISS and the CISS are members of NASA STEM Gateway.
