This course is design for the beginners to the field. The aim of this course
is to introduce astronomy for beginners through concepts, terminology,

definitions, and mathematics related to the astronomy (basics of geometry,
algebra and trigonometry). Duration of the course is 8 months (teaching 2
hours per week for 32 weeks). Activities are given for 3-4 hours of
independent learning per week.

2) Advanced Certificate in Astronomy and Space Science (ACAS)
This course is designed for students who have a basic knowledge of
astronomy. The aim of this course is to fill the gaps in basic knowledge of
astronomy and introduce mathematics and physics related to the field of
astronomy. Duration of the course is 10 months (teaching 2 hours per week
for 40 weeks). Activities are given for 3-4 hours of independent learning
per week.
